A Talent gets the work, understands the client, and provides a quote.

The cost they charge for their design work, and contact hours is their own business, the work they require a Square to undertake is everyones.

Costs are broken up into four categories

  • Layouts The structure of a page and the information it needs
  • Forms Areas where feedback from the user needs to be captured
  • Modules Feature sets that work with data to create transactions
  • Addons Smaller features which link the website to external services

Must be provided to us in the standard X . X . X . X format

We will help you figure out the first three, you can request more at the planning rate

Custom work is quoted for by Squares, giving you a range of choices

Layouts

When you’re creating a mockup of the pages for your client, think about how many times you changed the look and feel of the page.

A perfectly clear example is a two page website, with a home and a contact

  • Home Has a banner, three values and very big attractors to other parts of the site
  • Contact Has a map, and a list of contact details

Squares build the layout, you fill it with the content

Layouts include the production of supporting Stylesheets and Javascripts

There is nothing stopping a website having a single layout

Forms

Any time you need to some information from a user you will need a form.

Just like layouts, forms are reusable and easily customisable.

  • Contact Us You want a users details emailed to you and added to Highrise
  • Add To Cart The product looks great, the user wants what they see. So they add it.
  • Checkout The cart is full, you have a few options for Gateways. Seal the deal

One form can have many features, linking it to multiple modules and addons

The fields within that form are set, if you want alternatives you will need another

Modules

This is where the Square Talent model comes into it’s own, online store for less than $1k?

Modules save custom information and provide actions to work with that data

  • Store Have a heap of products that you need listed and described?
  • Order Want to have people order those products online?
  • Gateway Need alternatives to PayPal for processing payments?

Need layouts and forms to operate effectively

There are maintained by the Square community and are feature fixed

Your Square can extend them at an hourly rate

Addons

We know that no website should be an island, addons are cheap integration tools

These will require that you have an account with the provider

  • Highrise Automatically link website contact with the Highrise CRM
  • Campaign Monitor Subscribe visitors to mailing lists through forms

We host analytics under the HQ account, purchasing grants you full access

Custom addons need to be put to HQ for decision about standardisation
